Majespecter
Duel Triangle DARK & WATER / LIGHT & EARTH / FIRE & WIND from on April 27th, 2025Notes & Combos
Basically had all the cards, so I wanted to give Majespecters a try for the first time. Started off by copying "Beast Mode B"'s list.
It's certainly rough. I removed both Fuwalos since they did nothing against Blue-Eyes, however, after doing so, I started to face other decks where it might have helped. Also removed a single Droll for the same reason as most Blue-Eyes players started with Beryl and could set up a board to some degree still while under Droll.
The ED was mostly useless besides Totem Bird, Gossip Shadow, Ryu, Nue, and Apo in a single game.
I feel like I only got 5 wins in a row with the deck since I got lucky and my opponents didn't all open multiple handtraps (Purge on Bunbuku/Yata, Imperm/Veiler on Nue, or just Nib)
I did enjoy how the deck played when it got going, but getting going is the rough part alongside having enough interactions on your opponent's turn to stop them while keeping enough of a board to come back the following turn.
It was funny in one game where I pend summoned 2 Majespecters and Fuwalos and while activating their effects, my opponent chained Veiler and had to negate Fuwalos. (Imperm on Sera moment)
It was also cool when I chained Kirin to a Traptrix player using Torrential Tribute and it blew up their field of 4 other monsters besides Sera since I bounced Raff back to their ED. I still lost since I went second and couldn't play through Judgment/Raff/anything else, but it was hightlight of things that happened while I played.
At best, my record was 50/50 for w/l. Probably a combination of inexperience with the deck, the build, and the deck itself not being that strong.
Wouldn't mind trying it out again in a lower power format though.
