Notes & Combos
Overview:
The objectively better version of the Yubel Earthbound Release FTK. 60 cards prevents you from bricking with two of the traps and thrust lets you set Nightmare Archfiends if you get handtrapped and can combo further. Yubel cut several starters for fiendsmith, so adding them back makes the deck basically just as consistent. Drawing one of the bricks is bad, but not game-ending. Archfiend heiress can be popped by Nightmare Pain and drawing Nightmare archfiends just means you don't make aerial eater. Rollback and Earthbound release can be discarded by spirit gates or popped by shavara. Even if you can't send them to grave, you just go full yubel combo. Desirae is in there for a reason.
Your objective is to get Nightmare Archfiends on the field and both rollback and earthbound release in the grave. You protect your ftk with at least a phantom, but phantom + apo/varudras is better. Beatrice needs to stay on the field until their draw phase to send another trap. After beatrice resolves, activate Nightmare archfiends, then once the tokens are summoned, activate rollback targeting earthbound release. It's very hard to stop once the pieces are in place, especially because they spent all their handtraps on your turn. If you don't want to ftk, this deck still easily goes into full yubel combo. What fun! If this degeneracy isn't a reason for Beatrice getting banned, then it's proof that Konami doesn't want to fix the game.
