Notes & Combos

34-23 from M4 to M1

It won't let me paste the link for my spreadsheet of matchup data so here's my summary.

Most common matchup was Millennium (8-5) followed by Tenpai (4-5) and Snake-Eye variants (3-6).

I played 3 fuwa for the early climb, but it's dead or draw 1 into the two most common matchups I encountered (millennium and tenpai) and the deck felt way better after cutting it down to 1.

I tried duster to respect millennium but I only drew it once and it doesn't really seem like it makes the difference.

TTT is here over Called By since it's generally good this format and if you get maxx c'd/fuwa'd you can just play into it for 1 or 2 draws with your normal combo. If they drop both you look at their hand and pass on 0 draws. You also don't want to Called by hand traps that you hopefully expect to draw into with sleepy and use on their turn.

We don't respect shifter/droll since they're not that common and depending on your hand you can just play into it. Ogre feels really good right now, it has applications into every matchup even if it's not always super high impact, plus it's a good draw off sleepy. I considered bumping it to 2 but never ended up testing it, might be better than a nib or imperm or something.

Realistically you should probably be playing fiendsmith stuff in this deck, but I got to master 3 quickly without it and didn't feel like crafting it yet so I figured I may as well go all the way with pure cats. Then again, it might feel bad into all the anti-meta and I'm not sure if it even increases the ceiling all that much, so maybe it's not worth it but I'm not sure.
