I can finally play through handtraps ( ╥ ᴗ ╥)
Fiendsmith is finally here to give tear the consistency boost it needed (where is lacrima konami?). Now you can turn a drawn engraver or any 3 bodies on the field into a beatrice to access your tear cards. It also allows you to end on a nontarget negate if you dont need beatrice (i still like ending on her). You could even end on both if you use tract's gy effect to fusion summon lacrima.
And since more bodies = more ways to play through handtraps, the non-engine lineup has more body generating cards. Unicorn + any normal summon still gets you beatrice through the fiendsmith cards. Bystials are good handtraps against fiendsmith while also generating bodies for links.
Going second this format is so bad so you need handtraps with the most impact. Droll is kinda hit or miss sometimes, but it can also function as an anti-maxx c card, since you can still setup a decent board under droll. I am seriously considering mulcharmy fuwalos but settled on ttt since it is also useful going first. Fuwa is the stronger option going second however. Cant really recommend boardbreakers cuz of all the negates meta decks put up (desirae can even negate unrespondable stuff like droplet and dark ruler no more). Even spoly is not enough for the current meta since the boards are too big and you sometimes cant even use it.
As for the extradeck, nyarla fits so perfectly with the fiendsmith cards. It can let you discard bricks like lurrie (triggers the summon), trivikarma, or snow, detach for effect like redoer to trigger the schieren fuse, and can change itself to light fiend (provided you have one in gy via a mill for example) to start your fiendsmith combo. Goddess is a flex slot so you can change it to anything you like.
