Notes & Combos

This format took everything out of me. I got straight to MII with resonators before falling all the back down to MV, then bouncing between MIV and MV multiple times. Beatrice made it so difficult to interrupt SE FS, tear, etc. and other decks that abused it. (I hope it gets banned).

The list is one I had a while back, not building too hard into the centurion engine. The ratios are ones that I changed after looking at some other decklists like Archimo. I liked keeping fiendish golem, because you get fuwalos and maxx "c"'d a LOT.

I'd say my most fun games have been playing low to the ground funnily enough. The deck is awesome, and I think more people should play. But this format makes me want to unexist :^)

Good luck to all that are still climbing and not playing meta.

Yo thanks for mentioning me by name <3

I can understand a bit why you struggled you got a few odd choices and I'm sure you can explain the reasoning behind it but my Master 1 climb was a breeze (only 6 loses past 20 games after hitting master 1)

Anyways I love helping a bit so let me give some constructive feedback if you want it ofc else feel free to ignore the following just if you have struggles I can suggest some things that would improve your deck massively. <3

3 cent field and 3 oath is a must (with primus you can maybe drop to 1 oath) 3rd fuwalos as well.

Cut golem you can often even under maxx c just end on red zone + scarred which gives you a better chance at winning, if you want a silver bullet for tenpai you can use red screen very good at what it does imo.

you'll need to run wake up centurion you have no way to take advantage of centurions amazing potential sometimes main engine is shut down and you can still win due to centurions alone. You can also opt to run Gargoyl but more advanced use and it doesn't add scarlight to your base endboard like wake up, wake up can also send phalanx so you have some protection vs super poly.

you do not run etude and regained you gotta pick either of them.

TTTalent isn't actually good you'd be better off with more hand traps or engine.

Nibiru is really bad in this meta it won't stop the top decks and does nothing vs Tenpai.

EBI Red Nova is a Brick modern card printed for 2017, while it has future potential with more support it currently isn't worth running Red Nova Dragon in your ED and the card is just plain bad the idea is you search it and red zone from crimson gaia but you only pick one so the benefit of having a hard to get rid of Red Nova dragon is that your red zone is online but it's a brick winmore card that you'd already be able to win the game if you're resolving it. (that being said I am a sucker for cards like this it's just not a good card)

You're running flamecrime with no target, the strength of flamecrime is sending exactly Black Goat Laughs to gy or if you like a bit of spice and fun red reign. Some people absolutely love this card which is fine but imo it's more of a bricky card at least if run with red reign.

I am not sure about 3x effect veilers I'd not run them ghost ogre is so much better depending on space if you do make adjustments I'd say they are completely cutable.

in terms of ED you gotta run Blazar Dragon centurion gives us such easy access to it and having it as an option will win you games especially as it's mostly likely what you summon with centurion if you do not have red zone.

Baronne isn't really at all that good for us I'd much more recommend 2nd OG RDA for more recursion and grind game as it will come up more and if 10 synchro is your goal you'll usually go chaos angel.

Just to clarify if I sound a bit harsh with anything, it's all constructive feedback from a guy that have played reso since Master duel released and been going hard in master bracket ever since the RDA support dropped even climbed highest ranks in the past pre support. all of it is well intended and just meant to help you out <3

when I said TTTalent isn't good I mean for Resonator current meta, we're very limited by our engines HOPT unlike decks like snake eyes that can start with so many cards, a +2 can easily find them more engine but for us if they hit soul and/or bone we're kinda toast with a lot of hands drawing 2 cards isn't gonna fix that and looking at how opponent is gonna beat you with their multiple different engine starters as you put back one isn't really the secret sauce you could run 1 I guess but I haven't had good uses of it at all.

you could in theory run a TTThrust package with 1 copy of it to make better use of stuff even set red reign if maxx c happens which also makes flame crime worth running, but nobody is doing that these days deck space too tight for TTThrust package.

Hey! Thanks so much for the criticism. I'm actually really thankful for the input. In regards to the flame crime, I was purely using it as an extender. I had quite a few games where the free special summon on turn 2 actually would've saved me the game, but I had used the effects of all of my special summons after eating through 5-6 interruptions. I just wished I had that free special at times, even if it was run at 1. But I agree with your point that it's better to run if you're running the red reign trap/black goat.

The one of nibiru was purely to play around rogue strategies and to have as a crossout target, but you're right, it's not common to have in hand for a 60 card deck. The centur-ion package was very small, just because I really disliked being locked into centurion extra deck monsters. On top of the fact there were only two centur-ion main deck monsters. I feared the field spell and emblema draws on future turns would eventually become dead in hand once you have both centur-ions on field/gy. But having played centur-ion recently, I understand your reasoning for playing a larger package.

In regards to the talents, I actually had 3 dark rulers in place of them. But the dark rulers never came up in matchups as much as I wanted them to. I felt that talents was especially good when going against decks like millenium. Baiting exodia into taking with talents was very fun. I think talents is just a very strong card in general, especially when going second with this deck without enough handtraps in hand.

The Red Nova in extra deck was something I wasn't sure about either. I liked the card, but not the effect. It never came up, with the exception of needing large amounts of damage in otks. I think I just ran it because of the new earthbound card.

As for the 3 veilers, I actually prefer 3x veiler. Ogre is also a very strong handtrap against SE deception and Sangen Summoning. I run 2-3x in my normal centur-ion list. In a FS meta, however, you'd really like to hit requiem. I'd definitely add ogre in the list, but no more than 2x, while keeping the 3x veiler to synergize with the bystials dodging called by.

As for blazar, I just didn't own it at the time. I'm adding it now that I have crafted centur-ion, but when I made it to MI, I decided to stick with it for the time being.

Regarding the baronne and second RDA, I prefer running baronne as an option. Not being locked into anything at the start of the turn is nice, and I actually never had the need for the second RDA. It just never came up more than the baronne did. (Chaos Angel is the GOAT though). It's the same mentality of running baronne in dragon link, albeit, dragon link doesn't get locked as easily.

Overall, you're correct on a lot of the weird choices I made. My familiarity with playing around meta decks carried me more than my knowledge with Resonators (hurt me for a lot of games), and after looking at your replays, you are amazing with this deck. Seriously thanks for the input, as I'm making some changes right now XD.
