3 Bubble Reef? What the?

She's the best card in the deck. Now that I've played with 3 if we ever get toad back I would happily take out argonaught before the third gbr

Why?

She's the best extender in the deck and provides the best chance to win with engine heavy hands. I always try to end on two if I have access to blue tang+ spin girl. I only ever end on argonaught when I have ocean in hand because I opened a spell and I could only end on 1 link 4 due to interactions. This scenario comes up about as much as bagooska and I seem to be one of the few that even runs it when I have the room. If your opponent cannot immediately out both gbrs they turn into fat towers that become even harder to out than argonaught with her negate while also providing a lot of pressure from the card advantage gained turn 3

Yoooooo, I've been playing Marincess wrong... I have Marincess deck for so long and only today I noticed Bubble Reef is a soft once per turn. Thank you! Turn 2 draw 2, boost 1200 ATK for both, safe from Kaiju keeping Wave alive. Wow.

Glad I could help I remember I only realized this by accident myself. The deck is linear at face value but there's a lot of little interactions that you can only learn from playing the deck for a little bit

How do you end on two bubble reef?

Turn 1 it is resource heavy but can usually be accomplished with blue tangs adding. You need to make the first gbr and have spin girl in hand and a discard for gbr. Simply banish coral triangle with spin girl, then use gbrs effect to bring coral triangle back and link them into the second gbr. When you have hands that are 3-5 engine pieces you can technically make towers argonaught and gbr if you are mindful of your link arrows but I think double gbr is better almost every time

Awesome to see! Can I ask how often 2x Zealantis came up?

In this sack format specifically not much because when you're in the position to make it you're probably already winning. In past formats I would go through both quite often. Comes up about as much as bagooska (which I had over the second zeal) and argonaught

Makes sense, I can see what you mean. Also do you not wish you had Splash Mage at times to bridge into higher links like Anemone?

No. Post zeal I don't believe splash mage has a spot in this deck. Your best lines of extension fall around battle ocean or a loaded graveyard which includes coral triangle, and the combination of spin girl, anemone, and gbr. If you can resolve blue tang turn one she can usually cycle you through every name by turn 3

Ahh yeah that makes a lot more sense, thanks for the insight!

Keren keren Very cool! do you have some replays?

Sorry nothing recent. I'm a stickler for the spectator aspect of competitive games. There's very few non games we play on md and amongst those, there's even fewer where both parties play their hands optimally. I don't save many replays as a result
