Notes & Combos
- Thanks to Sinful Spoils, R-ACE got a lot more consistent! Diabellstar gets to Hydrant on field without using up the Normal Summon, so that's all you need for the usual Rescue-ACE combo.
- That means that drawing the actual R-ACE cards isn't as important anymore, so I replaced some of them for a few extra handtraps and the 1 Crossout. Reasoning for some handtraps:
- No Droll. I only faced 1 SHS and a few Mannadium. Veiler is better against Branded and Labrynth, which I faced more of. Also seems like Veiler is decent against pure Snake-Eyes
- Veiler instead of Imperm. Veiler still works if I draw it from a Fire Attacker summoned by Impulse. Opening Veiler and a Bystial also means that you can dodge Called by the Grave! Otherwise, it has some niche synergy with 1 for 1: Can be used as discard, and lets you get a tuner to make Baronne if you already have Hydrant access.
- 1 D.D. Crow. I added Crow last minute instead of a 2nd Air Lifter, since I didn't feel like standalone R-ACE cards do much. I chose Crow because I saw mostly Branded and Mathmech. Another thing that randomly came up is that it's a search target for Dharc in a simplified gamestate. There's also a good reason to run an Imperm instead, to have it in deck for Crossout negates.

Don't you think that Ghost Mourner might be almost strictly better in this kind of meta? With the way that virtually everything is being special summoned, you aren't really missing out on much. On the other hand, Mourner actually works on your turn where decks like Lab & Snake Eyes summon plenty on.

That makes sense. I think both Mourner and Veiler have different upsides, and the points you mentioned are definitely worth considering. At the moment I just don't have Mourner, so I didn't put much thought into potentially crafting it.
I mentioned in the notes some upsides for Veiler, and those did come up for me from time to time. I also think that there are some strong Normal Summons that go against the favor of Mourner. Negating Aluber or Quem from Branded, or Lab's Arianna is usually better than stopping them later on

I think this is like ahead of the time lol. Droll is a three of in ALL decks, but like you're saying I rarely run into shs and mannd at this point. I do however see a trillion branded, lab, and mechs. Ill def check out this list, but i may experiment with less alerts, perhaps a few ratios will change for me. I dont have two promethean and I dang i really want two now lol. Good list!!

Thank you! And yeah, it feels like it's in the nature of ranked games that fewer people are inclined to play all-in combo stuff like SHS (when there are decent alternatives, at least).
Funnily enough, the 3 Alerts are meant to help play around Droll, since you can search with Hydrant, and then still chain Alert to the Droll. That, and activating Wanted during the Draw Phase does help out quite a bit. But who knows, maybe this is the start of a cycle and people will play more SHS if Droll becomes less popular

Hey, whats your out to non-target monsters i.e avramax etc? Besides resource heavy underworld goddess??

It's not easy for sure. Against Avramax in specific there's also the option to attack it with a Normal Summoned Turbulence alongside the Field Spell's ATK boost. You're right that all the removals target, so the few times that I do encounter something like that I try to go for Goddess. At least it only takes 3 Monsters if one of your Charmers can grab something from the GY
