Notes & Combos

Second time I've reached Master, doing so in a row. I must have finally learned how to play correctly a Children's Card Game.

When Yubel was released I wanted to mix both archetypes, for extra starters, recursion and negation.

Originally I played with Hero Kid. However, I found out quickly it is a set of 3 garnets.

I went with the Nimble engine instead. Unless you get very unlucky and draw 3/5 pieces, they are not bricks and give you enough bodies to start.

The whole idea of packing 2 engines (Yubel & Nimbles) with Sprights is resilience and consistency. Around 80% of the time your opening hand will have at least 1 card (Beaver, DBB, Gates, Throne, Starter) or 2 (Spright+something) to get started, and the opponent would need more than 3 interruptions to stop you completely (Roach and Mulcharmies aside).

Typical end board is: Elf (EMZ), Rabbit+Azurune, I:P, plus whatever else you have summoned (Red/Carrot and/or Yubel), set in S/T (Imperm, Smashers, Starter, CBttG), and in hand (C and Ash).

That's roughly 4 to 6 interruptions. Then on your following turn you can summon Princess, revive Elf or whatever, and summon your 2nd Elf to setup Princess pop for next turn after that.

Deck size is 42 because of Yubel garnets. List is updated and ready for upcoming Banlist; I made the last climb from D1 to M5 with it.
