Notes & Combos
Pure Trickstar is a very consistent deck, but with a fairly low ceiling except when it gets to burn so much that it becomes a viable wincon. The more typical disruption endboard is Noble Angel and Maiden, with Silhouhatte occasionally. Divaridis is good in this set-up too despite seeming like it's just for burn, since an alternative source of burn gives more flexibility with Noble's pop.
For the omissions: Dark Room is very strong going first, but burn is a wincon much less when going second and so it becomes undesirable then. Droll/Reincarnation wipe might just be bad luck, but I swear I pulled it off 1/50 games before cutting it. Maybe if I liked Droll more this format, but I really only like it vs Yubel. Reincarnation is mid without Droll, and I dislike how it has anti-synergy with Aqua Angel, whose hand knowledge is very powerful. Knowing this lets you tailor your fairly limited disruptions efficiently, as well as your endboard.
Aqua Angel is also basically free fusion and Herald fodder, which is an interaction I liked so much I also included Mandrake to mimic it further. It's occasionally dead, but far more often than not you can trigger its effect. Herald is a really powerful perk of running a Fairy deck; it's both a strong disruption and can insulate your own plays against hand traps. Fusion also ensures you have fodder for it.
FTK combo: Candina+(2 of: Hoody/Mandrake/Aqua)
- NS Candina add Light Stage search (missing card from Hoody/Mandrake/Aqua)
- Colchica, SS Hoody, Bloom, Hoody eff add Fusion, make Holly
- Fusion with Aqua and Mandrake to link zone (-400), search Festival, SS Mandrake (-400)
- Bloom with Mandrake (-400)
- Noble in left zone with Drum/Bloom, search Angel of Blue Tears (-400)
- Festival (-400), make Diva (-800)
- Holly and Diva for Holly in other EMZ
- Noble revive Diva (-800), Aqua in GY (-400)
- Foxglove (-400), then Bella w/o using Holly (-400)
- Bella eff (-2200), Angel of Blue Tears (-1000)
Overall, obscure but good to know about. This is tight (8000 exactly) so obviously it doesn't happen through any hand trap, but it's still pretty flexible into a heavy burn set-up where Diva+Maiden+Colchica limits your opponent's plays or just a more typical disruption set-up.
There's other set-ups with drawn Fusions that make Sweet Guitar later and squeeze out some extra burn with it and using Colchica once Holly is out, but the above line should still give a general idea of how to burn.
