Notes & Combos
Shoutout to the GOAT Cydver for coming up with this list, the core is effectively the same though I just swapped out a few cards here and there for my own preferences. You can see his write-up of the deck to get an understanding of how it works, I'll just be writing about the things I changed and my reasons why:
1: No Galatea/Ding package: This is a matter of personal preference, in the original decklist Galatea was a useful stepping stone to Xyz into Dingirsu for a non-target send into a 2600 beater that can also protect against destruction and then overlay into Zeus, though with Zeus banned in the event I'd rather just use Girsu and the token to either make Morningstar or Lib to further myself into the World Legacy/Mekk side of the deck. It's still great removal and you can def run it if you want, though I just prefer the versatility of having more toolbox slots for things like Dugares and Spatha.
2: Cutting Droplet: While Droplet is a fantastic board breaker to soften a board or as additional turn 1 disruption, I just felt that the event wasn't strong enough to justify the send cost of Droplet. On ladder I'd absolutely keep it in but the format is pretty low power here so it just didn't come up as much. Moreover, Rikka's negate is from the hand or gy so Droplet doesn't touch that either. I personally went with Thrust and Tactics since going first, it allows me to set my Imperm from deck to get an extra negate as well as setting up Mekk columns, while going second Tactics to break boards. Occasionally I thrust to set Awakens for some scuffed IP-esque plays to either make Unicorn for a spin or one of the Mekk links for a surprise column negate off secrets.
3: No Scars for Crossout: Scars is an alright card, you can discard something to draw 1 while potentially setting up a WL card in gy for enabling Lib, I just prefer Crossout for an extra out against common handtraps.
4: The Charmy ratios: It is my personal opinion that 2 Fuwa 1 Puru is the ideal Charmy ratio since it lets you cover your bases the most. Since the event is lower powered, most of the decks here can get away with a minimal extra deck investment line or skipping it altogether, like how Rikka could just make the Rank 8 and stop, or how Lightsworn has maindeck gas even without touching the Extra, I felt that this is a format where Purulia is actually the threat to watch out for.
