Notes & Combos
Thoughts/comments on playing the deck:
- My last Master 1 deck really struggled going second. I really wish the Grimness attack lock was not there, it hurts more than you would think at first glance. Adding Evenly has helped that out. Also I realized that I have really been not taking advantage of Ninja Mosquito. I had just been using it to go into Zeus, but it is fantastic for OTKs.
- Adjusted the hand traps. I love Bystial's and they are fantastic against Tear but finally removed them because they are bricks going first, not great against FK and absolutely awful against R-Ace. Also most Horus players have figured out by now that they should make Imsety their first summon from grave.
- Upped Nib to 2 because of the synergy with Ninja Mosquito. Give them an 8000+ attack token, make Ninja Mosquito on your turn and you have game. Super hilarious way to win.
- Not really sure what to do with the 15th extra deck slot. Replaced Liebe with Borrelsword Dragon after a game that I lost where I would have won if I had that card, but it never came up after that again. A big thing in its advantage though, is that it doesn't have the requirement of different names to summon, which comes up because you will oftentimes have multiple Abyss on your board. Unicorn does, which makes Accesscode a lot worse in this deck, so does Apollousa which has screwed me over a few times. Feel free to experiment with the ED if you want to try this, other cards that could be good are Mannequin Cat, Sprind, Onimabaru, maybe Knightmare Gryphon could be an option as an I:P target.
- I do not recommend a second Gigantic. I tried it out and the second one never came up and it just led to Kash Unicorn banishing my Elf instead of Gigantic or Zeus, which they usually do with this ED decklist.
- There is a slight boost in consistency with Jet at two I would say. You definitely love seeing Jet or Blue in your opening hand. Might be worth having Spright Starter at 2 as well. Haven't tried that yet. The level 2 lock from Starter prevents you from making your ritual plays though, which is annoying. Would definitely rather have a Spright monster in my hand rather than Starter.

Top Secret Packs used

There are several things he adds to the deck. You don't ever really want to summon him turn one, but he is fantastic at breaking boards. Summon him with nekromirror by tributing opponent's monster, use his effect to non-target shuffle a card on field which is guaranteed due to nekromirror's graveyard effect, go into Dyna Mondo for another shuffle, then you can go into unicorn for a 3rd shuffle if you want. Thats 4 cards on opponent's field gone. And if you added AccessCode Talker then you could get rid of even more.
He is also good just because he has less than 1000 defense, so he is directly searchable by Abyss. If you don't run Zielgigas then an ash on Vision can be really devastating since you may not have an easy way to get your second Neremanas in hand. Which means your tribute when ritual summoning will not be another ritual monster and you could have Gishki Aquamirror stuck in grave. If you don't run him then I would probably run a third vision or herald of pure light in the ED just for this reason.
Since it is a non-target shuffle, he is also great at baiting out set spell/traps like Daruma Karma Cannon. He helps the Lab matchup quite a bit due to this.
Also if you had to summon Grimness, then he makes your OTK's quite a bit more reliable. The normal strategy of attacking with double Neremanas then going into Gustav Max is vulnerable to both Nib and Evenly and he gets rid of both of those vulnerabilities. Can help out quite a bit when you try to OTK through Maxx C.
I definitely like him, but he is cuttable if you wanted to. Neremanas gets summoned quite a bit more.
